I understand that, but that being said, WHY are they selling DEFECTIVE discs?
When I paid $65, I expected this game to last me for MANY, MANY Years as all my other games, NOT 4 months! I still have games from PS2 that still work to this day, even gamecube scratched up games work no problems.
When a Game was just bought a few months ago and it is still in MINT condition, then it just stops working FOR NO REASON, and other ppl are complaining to them about the same thing, NINTENDO NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE and TAKE responsibility!
As much as you think there are a bunch of people with defective discs: There isn't. Defective discs happen. But unless the failure rate is significant (like, over 10%), then it's considered perfectly acceptable.
The only reason you think there's a lot is because you're specifically LOOKING for complaints. People are more vocal about complaints than praise. You won't see people posting in reviews "My disc works great, thanks Nintendo!". They're ONLY going to post if their disc doesn't work, which causes selection bias.
It's not like these defective discs are sold on purpose. Nintendo doesn't know they are defective.
